In-Kind Contributions
Camp Forget-Me-Not is very grateful for in-kind donations. “In-kind” contributions save thousands of dollars that would otherwise be expended on necessary services and supplies. A “wish list” has been developed, but Camp Forget-Me-Not would appreciate receiving other offers and suggestions. In-kind donors receive the same recognition as the commensurate sponsor level, based on the estimated retail value of the donation.

Camp T-shirts - estimated value $1,200 - Wish FULFILLED by Corporate Shirts Unlimited!
All campers and staff (estimate of 150 persons) will receive a Camp Forget-Me-Not T-shirt. The donor’s logo will be displayed on the T-shirt, along with the names of the Camp collaborating agencies. The donor will also the receive recognition and benefits of a Camp Director Sponsor.
Bus Transportation – estimated value $1,000 - Wish FULFILLED by Dean Transportation!
This year Camp Forget-Me-Not will include a fun-filled day at Storer YMCA Camp in Jackson. Round-trip bus transportation is urgently needed to transport the children and staff (estimate of 100 campers and staff). The donor will receive special sign recognition as campers and staff board the buses. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Director Sponsor.
Dinner at Camp Storer - estimated value $700
On June 5 campers, volunteers, and staff will enjoy a buffet dinner at YMCA Camp Storer in Jackson and begin to wind-down from a day's worth of activities. During dinner a slideshow of the day is planned...and immediately following dinner Camp Forget-Me-Not Dinner will conclude with a moving Closing Ceremony. The sponsor of this dinner will receive special sign recognition at dinner, as well as a thank you during dinner itself. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Director Sponsor.
Camp Activities Sponsor - estimated value $600
Although Camp Forget-Me-Not includes morning and afternoon small group discussions for all campers to share....an important component of Camp includes the opportunity for the children to experience real "camp" opportunities. Camp Storer staff will be available to make these experiences memorable. Plans include many nature and recreational activities...and games. These include: fishing, basketball, parachute games, arts and crafts, volleyball, archery, a visit to the "critter room," archery, volleyball, and "eco-dramas." The donor will receive special sign recognition throughout the day and the recognition and benefits of a Camp Director Sponsor.
Lunch at Camp Storer - estimated value $500
On June 5 campers, volunteers, and staff will take a break mid-day for a buffet lunch at YMCA Camp Storer in Jackson. During lunch campers, their buddies, and volunteers/staff will take the opportunity to sign t-shirts and take photos. The sponsor of this lunch will receive special sign recognition sign at lunch, as well as a thank you during lunch itself. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Director Sponsor.
Pizza Supper – estimated value $400 - Wish FULFILLED by Gorseline-Runciman Funeral Home!
The opening session of Camp Forget-Me-Not will be held on the evening of June 4 at Ele’s Place. Over 150 campers, their parents, and Camp staff will meet, orient the children to the next day’s activities, and provide the parents an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about children and loss. A pizza supper is planned. The donor of pizza supper will receive a special “thank you” sign located at Ele’s Place on June 4. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Counselor Sponsor.
Backpacks - estimated value $300 - Wish FULFILLED by Smalley's Auto Service!
All 60 campers will receive a backpack. The donor of the backpacks will receive a special “thank you” acknowledging the sponsor, which will be attached to the backpacks. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Counselor Sponsor.
Supper for the Volunteer Training Sessions - estimated value $300 - Wish FULFILLED by Youthful Giving!
Camp Forget-Me-Not would not be possible without the efforts of the staff and volunteers. Volunteers receive two evening sessions of training (May 26 and June 2) and a light supper will be provided to the volunteers as a token of the wonderful gift of their time. A donor or donors are sought to sponsor one or both of the suppers ($150 each). The donor(s) will receive a special "thank you" sign at the training sessions. The donor(s) will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Counselor Sponsor.
Snacks – estimated value $250 - Wish FULFILLED by Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes!
The campers, volunteers, and staff (approximately 100 people) will enjoy mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks and beverages on June 5. The donor of the snacks will receive a special “thank you” sign at the Camp. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Counselor Sponsor.
Bandanas – estimated value $175
Each of the 60 campers will receive a bandana (color-coded to their T-shirt). The donor of the bandana will receive a special “thank you” sign on June 4 at Ele’s Place as the bandanas are distributed. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Buddy Sponsor.
Breakfast for Volunteers and Staff - estimated value $125
Early on Saturday, June 5 the volunteers and staff of Camp Forget-Me-Not will arrive at Ele's Place to await the arrival of the campers. A donor is sought to sponsor a light breakfast. The donor will receive a special "thank you" sign at the breakfast and will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Buddy Sponsor.
Supplies – estimated value $125
As part of Camp Forget-Me-Not the campers will participate in several arts and crafts projects, all requiring numerous supplies. The donor of the art supplies will receive a special “thank you” sign on June 4 at Ele’s Place and June 5 at Camp Storer. The donor will also receive the recognition and benefits of a Camp Buddy Sponsor.
